Newcastle fans can opt for frozen prices
Newcastle fans are being offered the chance to freeze the price of their season ticket for the next 10 years.
Supporters will start to receive their renewal packs from next week for the 2011/12 season, and one of the options available is to pay a fixed price for a decade with an annual opt-out clause.
Tickets for over-18s will rise by £15, but the family area at St James' Park, which has sold out for the current campaign, is to be extended and under-18s sitting in that section can watch a season's football for £100. A new young person's area has also been introduced for 18 to 21-year-olds at a cost of £265.
Head of customer operations, Simon Esland, said: "I'm delighted that we have been able to offer such good value for money in these difficult times for our supporters.
"The fact that supporters can freeze the price of their season ticket for 10 years shows our commitment to them. Add to that the extended family area and new young persons section, and we are looking at our current support as well as the next generation of Newcastle fans."
