Alan Pardew has threatened to ban his Newcastle players from Twitter after Jose Enrique revealed he would miss the match at Tottenham on the social networking website.[LNB]In a move that could have benefitted their rivals, Enrique - who has over 6,000 followers - Tweeted that he would miss the game at White Hart Lane because of a hamstring injury.[LNB] Gaffe: Newcastle's Jose Enrique let his Twitter followers know about his injury[LNB]Enlarge At around 11am on Tuesday, the left-back wrote: 'Sorry lads i have a test this morning and we decide is better dont play if no im in 100x100. Im so hungry because this game is nice to play'.[LNB]But Pardew was left fuming at the message and warned that his squad must be careful about what information they make public.[LNB]The Newcastle boss said: 'We've spoken about it. I got a text message saying that the press and everyone knew because he had Tweeted about his injury, and that's something we need to look at as a club.[LNB]'Players can't be giving that sort of information away. We'll have to make it club policy that has to stop. This instant news society is difficult to police, but we'll do our best. Will he be OK for the Wigan game? I'll check his Tweets and see.'[LNB]Meanwhile, Pardew reckons the 2-0 defeat to Spurs highlighted his need to reinforce the squad in next month's transfer window.[LNB]He said: 'In the three games I've been here that is the least quality we've shown. I think it's evident that we could do with a couple of additions.[LNB]'On its day, we have a team that can compete with anyone, we've proved that against some of the top teams in this division. But is there that competition and quality in all areas when other players have to come in?[LNB]'I thought James Perch did terrific at left-back, but he isn't naturally left-footed; we maybe lacked a little bit of balance down that left-hand side.[LNB]'We couldn't get Jonas in the game as much as we would have liked, and little things like that make a difference. We are looking at the market, and hopefully we can bring someone in.[LNB]'You can only stop looking over your shoulder when you win. That's the mentality. When you win you look upwards; when you lose you look backwards. That's the tendency, but we've got three really tough games out of the way and we've taken three points from them.[LNB] Net pains: Gareth Bale's goal finished Newcastle off at White Hart Lane on Tuesday[LNB]'If we'd drawn all three, you would probably have said that's three good results. I think we need six or seven more wins, and I think this team is capable of that, hopefully a couple more on top.[LNB]'We just want to improve as a club and a team. I have the backing of the board, and I want to put that into place in terms of taking the club forward. [LNB]'We've secured Steven Taylor this week, which was very important, and there's a no sale on Andy Carroll, which is probably the biggest and best news we're going to have during the window. Hopefully, we can add one or two.'[LNB] Tottenham 2 Newcastle 0: Spurs leapfrog Chelsea into top four with winSanta's Little Helper: Jennifer Love Hewitt spends Christmas Eve helping families in need NEWCASTLE UNITED FC
