New Toon Shirt Hammered For 'Poor Quality'!

06 August 2010 11:09
Toon supporters queued from dawn to be the first fans to wear Newcastle United's new home shirt. But many have complained on our NU-Mad message board about "poor quality". Prumag: "I think the quality of it compared to addidas is shocking. The norhern rock band is plastic and will come off in the wash and the toon badge looks chatty." That was just one of many threads hitting out at the poor material. The strips have been given the seal of approval by Newcastle boss Chris Hughton ... but (allegedly) NOT the players. We know some of the players complained too, and we believe the current player's shirt are NOT the same as the ones sold in the shops. The newly designed Puma top was revealed last month by players Kevin Nolan and Alan Smith as they prepared to rejoin the Premier League.
