New System Sees Cisse Suffer

Even though some may argue that United have climbed to seventh without Papiss Cisse's goals .

. only Southampton and Spurs in the top 10 of the league have scored less than the Magpies.

And their 20 goals so far is some margin behind the top four sides, with both Arsenal and and Chelsea on 30 each in total, Liverpool on 34 and goal-crazy Man City on 41.

Alan Shearer: “I feel a bit for him. He came in and had a great start to his Newcastle career but he’s finding it a little bit tough at this moment in time.

“I don’t know him personally but he’s certainly not the player now he was when he arrived.

“But you can only say that is down to confidence.

“It has affected him more than most going a few games without scoring.

“Service is always key – whether you are scoring or not.

“As a centre-forward you are always quick to praise the guys who are supplying you.

“When things aren’t going so well, you look for a little bit more service.

“But that goes with the terrority, that goes with a team who are confident and a player who is confident. At this moment you can tell Remy is playing with great confidence.”
