Moyes For Man Utd - Suddenly the World Is A Better Place!

10 May 2013 00:20
Manchester United have confirmed David Moyes will succeed Sir Alex Ferguson as manager from July 1 on six-year contract.

Moyes, far from viewing it as the poisoned chalice some have claimed, feels it represents an opportunity he simply could not turn down.

David Moyes: "I know how hard it will be to follow the best manager ever, but the opportunity to manage Manchester United isn't something that comes around very often.

"I am really looking forward to taking up the post next season."

But Man City's Yaya Toure said it all when he said the balance of footballing power will shift following Sir Alex Ferguson's departure as United manager.

Inspirational City midfielder Toure, speaking at the club's pre-FA Cup final media day, said: "It will make a big difference.

"Fergie is a great guy, a great manager and I hope he stays in football.

"He has done something unbelievable for that club.

"For us, I think it is going to be very important. It is looking like Manchester City will start to dominate the Premier League!"

Already United fans have voiced their opinions on the appointment ... and not many are happy.
