Moncur Prefers The Old Fashioned Way
Former Toon skipper Bob Moncur says Toon defender Mike Williamson is doing nothing wrong "whacking the ball into Row Z". Bob Moncur: "I didn’t know much about Mike Williamson when Newcastle signed him, but I’ve said from day one after seeing him play that I like the look of him. "He’s a strong and steady and what I’d call a good old fashioned centre-half. "Williamson does the simple things very well and effectively which I admire, if it’s a straight forward head out, he does it and if he needs to whack the ball into Row Z then he’ll do it. "I don’t mind seeing that and I’d rather have that than indecision."
