'Moaning' Jones Cries In His Beer ... AGAIN!

06 February 2010 12:03
Dave Jones once again spoke out of his arse today ... pointing to the £3m that Newcastle spent in the transfer window ... while he had nowt! What about the international players we LOST in the summer? On Wednesday he was pleased none of his stars had been sold, and was bragging how his strike force was the "best in the Championship" and how "Newcastle are beatable at home". After the 5-1 humiliation ... it's a different story. We lost Owen (Man Utd), Duff (Fulham), Viduka (back to Australia), Martins (Germany), Bassong (Spurs), N'Zogbia (Wigan), Edgar (Burnley), Beye (Villa), Given (Man City), Xisco (Spain), and Geremi (Turkey) ... each and every one an internatiional. Dave Jones warned fans: “We are going to be like this from now until the end of the season. We will win games, but now and then we will come up against a team who will turn us over. “Our fans must accept that unless we can bring in players during the emergency loan window. “I don’t know who that will be except kids from Premier League clubs. “That’s the way it is. I’m not moaning. I am envious because Newcastle have been able to spend £3m or £4m to strengthen their squad with six players and we have not been able to do anything. “But we have to get on with it and prepare for Peterborough in midweek and then Chelsea in the FA Cup next Saturday.” Saturday 06th February 2010    Barnsley  v  Watford 15.00 Blackpool  v  Leicester 15.00 Bristol City  v  Coventry 15.00 Doncaster  v  Reading 17.20 Ipswich  v  Middlesbrough 15.00 Nottm Forest  v  Sheff Weds 15.00 Peterborough  v  QPR 15.00 Plymouth  v  West Brom 15.00 Scunthorpe  v  C.Palace 15.00 Sheff Utd  v  Derby 15.00 Swansea City  v  Preston NE 13.00
