Ishmael Miller is aiming to make his long-awaited comeback from injury in time for West Brom's opening fixture of the Coca-Cola Championship season against Newcastle. The 22-year-old striker damaged a cruciate ligament in his right leg during a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth in December. But the former Manchester City striker has now returned to full training and looks set to be match fit for the start of the new campaign. "Basically I am training but I`m taking it easy at the same time and I`m making sure when August 8 comes I am back and ready to play a 90-minute game," he told the club`s official website. "I trained on Friday possession-wise and passing-wise and we had a game at the end, which I dropped out of. "I can do everything else and I am going on tour to Slovenia. I should be fully fit for the start of the season."
