Burden: Owen will be expected to save Newcastle[LNB]Michael Owen returns to Newcastle's[LNB]line-up on Saturday saddled with the task of firing them to Premier League safety. [LNB]Owen, 29, is making his latest comeback from injury after six weeks out with ankle ligament damage. He scored seven goals in nine games to save Newcastle last season and shoulders the same responsibility this time around. [LNB]Caretaker manager Chris Hughton admitted Owen's presence against Hull at the KC Stadium will give the entire squad a lift. [LNB]Hughton said: 'He says the Hull game is a cup final and he's in that frame of mind because I don't think there is one player in that changing room who is not aware of the position we are in and that we have to get points on the board. [LNB]'Michael can lead by example. He's a big player for us. We have missed his presence and his goals record speaks for itself. Whether it will be Michael Owen or Joe Bloggs, you want your big players involved.' [LNB]Alan Smith and Obafemi Martins are nearing full fitness and Danny Guthrie, Habib Beye and Damien Duff are also close to returning.[LNB] Striker Carroll signs new contract to extend his stay at Newcastle[LNB]Kinnear comeback on the cards as Newcastle boss targets Stoke scrap[LNB]NEWCASTLE UNITED FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE NET[LNB][LNB] [LNB]
