Newcastle United are reportedly interested in offloading Demba Ba in order to sign Remy.
The Magpies have been unsuccessful with attempts to negotiate a new deal for the Senegal striker, and Alan Pardew is (once again) looking to France for options.
According to The Mirror, Newcastle are ready to let Ba leave and will use the funds to test Les Phoceens' resolve with a £10m player-money bid.
