NEWCASTLE UNITED have announced that Mike Williamson and Nile Ranger have committed themselves to new five-and-a-half year deals.[LNB] Williamson has been a prominent figure at the heart of Newcastle's defence in the Premier League this season and manager Chris Hughton thinks there is plenty more to come.[LNB] The 27-year-old only moved from Portsmouth in January but his performances have led to Hughton rewarding him with a deal that proves how highly they value him.[LNB] There has also been a similar deal handed to striker Ranger. The 19-year-old is now tied to the club until the summer of 2016, when he is expected to push Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll hard this season for a starting role.[LNB]
