Magpies handed Posh test
Newcastle have been handed a trip to Peterborough in the third round of the Carling Cup.
The Magpies are undefeated so far this season and were involved in a thrilling second-round tie at St James` Park as they eventually overcame League One Huddersfield 4-3.
Posh on the other hand saw off Roy Keane`s struggling Ipswich 2-1 at London Road.
The tie will be played the week commencing September 21.
