Nile Ranger struck twice as Newcastle United's reserves came from behind to beat Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. Phil Airey was also on the scoresheet yesterday afternoon in a 3-2 win for Peter Beardsley's side. Newcastle trailed to goals from Ismel Demontagnac and Tom Barkhuizen when Airey halved the deficit in the 68th minute with his third Premier Reserve League strike of the season, the striker running on to a long ball from Danny Simpson. Ranger levelled from an Airey corner nine minutes later, and quickly went on to net what was to prove the winning goal. NEWCASTLE UNITED: Soderberg, Simpson, Tavernier, Grieve, Dummett, McDermott, Donaldson (Richardson 55), McLaughlin, Ranger, Airey, Ferguson. Subs not used: Alnwick, Folan, Newton, Sammy Ameobi.
