Mackems Paving The Way To Sack Bruce?

04 October 2011 11:31
Former Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn and manager Steve Bruce will head for South Korea later this week ... and both have played down rumours the Mackem boss is set for the sack.

Quinn's decision to stand down as chairman this week has Mackems believing that Bruce has lost his main ally ... and the manager is one defeat away from the sack.

But the pair will lead a delegation on the three-day mission to Korea.

The visit will see the Sunderland party attend a reception at the British Embassy in Seoul along with some of the country's leading sports and business figures.

They will also attend South Korea's World Cup qualifier against the United Arab Emirates, in which Black Cats striker Ji Dong-won could figure, at the Suwon Stadium as guests of the Korean Football Association.
