Steve Bruce admitted it was difficult trying to stay positive following his side's 3-2 home defeat by West Bromwich Albion. This defeat now extends Sunderland’s recent run to one point from eight games. Oh bugger! Steve Bruce: “You could tell we were a bit anxious a bit nervous, a bit edgy, that’s what happens when you haven’t won a game. In the second half, for long spells, we looked distinctly ordinary. “That is a lack of confidence. And as I said, with people playing half-fit, or just coming back after injury. That’s the recipe for why we are struggling. “It is very difficult to stay positive."
