N'Zogbia's representative, Frank Peslerbe, suggested that at least one firm offer has been made, and turned down by Newcastle, while Lyon have made contact with the player and are considering a bid to take him away from St James' Park.[LNB]Since joining Newcastle five years ago N'Zogbia has struggled to hold down a regular first team place and has hinted recently that he is eager to join a bigger club where he would better be able to demonstrate his talents.[LNB]Arsenal remains his preferred option though he is happy to consider any move that would afford him a greater number of starts.[LNB]'Lyon have contacted us regarding Charles. The challenge of playing for them is attractive to him,' Peslerbe told Setanta.com[LNB].[LNB]'They have a long-term project and play Champions League football year in, year out, which is something that Charles would fancy.[LNB]'It could help him bolster his career and move forward within higher surroundings, which is what he eyes. [LNB]'It is an interesting option, but both clubs have to reach an agreement.'[LNB]Peslerbe, though, maintained that his client favoured staying in the Premier League.[LNB]'Joining a more ambitious Premier League club could be the ideal scenario, but at the moment Lyon's interest is stronger than any other,' said Peslerbe.[LNB]'Has he been contacted by Aston Villa, Tottenham and Arsenal? They have taken information about him, yes, but you know the transfer regulation. [LNB]'If a club wants to sign a player they must speak to his club, and at the moment I'm not in Newcastle's office so I can't tell you if they have contacted them.[LNB]'Newcastle told me they are yet to receive a suitable offer, and Lyon have confirmed their interest for Charles.'[LNB]
