Lovenkrands in Newcastle return
Championship leaders Newcastle have signed Danish striker Peter Lovenkrands on a three-year deal.
The 29-year-old has been a free agent since leaving St James` Park, where he spent the back-end of last season, in May.
Lovenkrands scored three goals in 12 outings for the club but could not help them avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League on the final day of the campaign.
He is expected to make his debut in the Championship clash at Cardiff on September 13 following the international break.
