Llambias Keen For Carroll Return!

Newcastle United managing director Derek Llambias has told the Newcastle Chronicle that the club are still keeping an eye on former striker Andy Carroll.

Derek Llambias: "We''ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Andy here.

"He''s a character and he''s getting older and more mature – and he''s stronger.

"It''s unlucky what has happened at West Ham. But he scored a great goal at the weekend.

"He''s still got a house up here. Andy was part and parcel of our growth."

However, former Toon skipper Kevin Nolan wants him to stay at Upton Park.

Kevin Nolan: "I think Andy''s perfect for us and we''re perfect for him.

"Sam is definitely the right man to get the best out of him.

"He''s in London, one of the best cities in the world. He''s playing for a great club, he''s playing with lads who know him, want to play with him. Only time will tell.

"You''ll never know what''s going to happen in the next window.

"We''ll just have to wait and see. But he''s got to score goals or we won''t want to buy him, will we?

"He''s only scored two for us.

"He''s got to start pulling his finger out for us if he wants us to buy him!"
