Lille Will Struggle To Hold Onto Unsettled Debuchy!

Lille club president Michel Seydoux is still winding up Newcastle United and Inter Milan by saying he thinks full-back Mathieu Debuchy could yet stay with the club.

Debuchy has made it plain he will leave the club this summer, but the French club are trying to encourage a bigger offer.

The France international has attracted interest from a number of clubs and all bids have been rejected.

But the player told the club he wanted to leave, and by 'hook or by crook' he says they will not hold him.

Michel Seydoux: "Mathieu is on vacation. Let him rest. I think Mathieu is an essential element of our game and he knows it.

"We'll see how things will slowly evolve."
