Leon Best: 'Why I Chose Rovers Ahead Of Celtic'

08 July 2012 12:15
Leon Best has said that it was due to Steve Kean that he has moved to Blackburn Rovers - rather than Celtic - from Newcastle United.

Kean had a difficult season last campaign, with many Rovers supporters predicting relegation if the Board stuck with the manager.

And guess what ... they were right!

Rovers have challenged Celtic all summer to sign the Newcastle United striker, but Best says he fancies the English Championship ... rather than the one-team SPL.

Best who played under Kean at Coventry City told Sky Sports: "He worked a lot with me at Coventry. He did extra bits with me that he didn't need to, any time I wanted to do shooting.

"His training gets the players going. You want to be part of it and that's a massive thing.

"I love getting up in the morning and looking forward to training and with Steve I'll definitely be doing that."
