Kuqi - Nice Bloke - But What Will History Show?

Shefki Kuqi will make his St James' Park swan-song against West Bromwich Albion today. Alan Pardew says he is "a lovely bloke", but he didn't do much for us ... did he? The Kosovo native has seen his opportunities rather scarce, and he hasn't made any sort of mark in his five months at the club. Alan Pardew: “I have to give Shefki a special mention simply because of his character. “He came here after Andy Carroll had gone as back-up and he has been a big help for us. “I would like to give him a run-out if I can against West Brom. “It has been a dream for him to play for Newcastle at this stage of his career. “I don't think we could have a player more appreciative of playing for Newcastle United. “I want to get him on if I can for 10 minutes against West Brom.” Kuqi will be released along with Sol Campbell, Patrick McLaughlin and Dan Leadbitter.
