Is there life after Gianluigi Buffon for Juve?
Oh I'm sure they will survive ... but it won't be with Tim Krul.
Tim's man-of-the-match display in Newcastle’s 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur (before the international break) has apparently reached Italy.
The Holland international is understood to be on the Serie A club’s shortlist of potential successors to Italy legend Buffon.
Krul – who is also interesting AC Milan – is under contract at St James’s Park until 2017 and that's the way it will stay.
The 25-year-old is settled on Tyneside, and has been since he joined the Magpies from Den Haag in 2005, and Italy does not interest him.
Tim Krul: “I feel like a Geordie now and feel at home.
“You know you feel at home when you can understand a proper Geordie in a conversation.”
The report in the newspapers is utter bollox - Gianluigi Buffon still has TWO AND A HALF YEARS left on his contract.
