Krul Says Ashley Will Back Pardew

Toon keeper Tim Krul has brushed off speculation about his future, insisting he is happy at Newcastle and the future is bright because Mike Ashley will back the manager.

The 24-year-old is part of the Dutch squad at Euro 2012, where he is understudy to Maarten Stekelenburg.

Newcastle are braced for bids from Chelsea and Tottenham when he returns from Poland, but the keeper has signed a five-year deal and he says he has no regrets.

Tim Krul: "It's all just talk.

"I've signed my five-year contract and I'm committed to Newcastle United.

"The club has not played in Europe for six years and I want to be a part of that.

"This club deserves European football.

"We've got everything, the stadium, the fans and an owner in Mike Ashley who's backing us."
