Kinnear eyes Everton return
ewcastle United boss Joe Kinnear is looking forward to getting back to work after being taken to hospital on Saturday morning.[LNB] Kinnear was not able to take his place in the dugout as Newcastle beat West Brom 3-2 to move four points clear of the relegation zone.[LNB]Assistant manager Chris Hughton later played down concerns over Kinnear's health by revealing that his boss was already talking about a return to the training ground.[LNB]Kinnear hopes to head home from hospital on Tuesday morning and is confident he will be ready to take charge of team affairs when the Magpies entertain Everton in their next match on 22nd February [LNB]"I woke up on Saturday morning at 5.30am feeling unwell, so our club doctor checked my blood pressure and it was high," Kinnear told the Evening Chronicle.[LNB]"We left it for a while and then decided to go up to the hospital. They decided to keep me in after speaking to a specialist.[LNB]"They've done some tests and we'll get some more results today.[LNB]"A cardiologist is going to have a look at me today and then I hope to be allowed to head home tomorrow morning.[LNB]"I feel a-OK and hopefully I will be back at work soon.[LNB]"I'm fighting fit and, with a bit of a break before the next game, I hope to be back for the Everton match for normal service."[LNB]Martins hopeKinnear also expects striker Obafemi Martins to be available for the crucial clash with the Toffees.[LNB]Martins has not played since having a hernia operation on 12th January but Kinnear admits he was almost considered for the game against West Brom.[LNB]Kinnear said: "Oba had a fitness test on Friday, but after a long chat we decided there was a big risk factor if he didn't feel 100 per cent right.[LNB]"So we didn't risk him. Now he has a little break to get right for Everton.[LNB]"I knew that I didn't have to take such a big risk with him because Peter Lovenkrands can also play in the same position."[LNB]
