Caretaker Newcastle boss Chris Hughton has warned the club's younger players they could have major roles to play this season.[LNB]Nile Ranger, Kazenga LuaLua, Tamas Kadar and Ryan Donaldson have been involved in the squad for the club's three Coca-Cola Championship games to date, but Hughton knows injuries and a lack of depth mean they could yet have to step into the firing line.[LNB]The Magpies head for Crystal Palace for their third tough game in eight days and Hughton is aware that on a sustained basis may come as a culture shock to players used to the Barclays Premier League schedule.[LNB]He said: "The players are getting used to that. We have told them what to expect but it only really hits home when you are playing the amount of games we will be playing.[LNB]"You are always hopeful we are not going to be picking up injuries and I am quite sure there are going to be some times when the squad is really going to be tested.[LNB]"We have four young lads who have played a bit part in pre-season with us and I am quite sure at some stage they will get opportunities."
