Kelly: One game at a time

15 October 2009 13:19
Assistant manager David Kelly insists Nottingham Forest will not be using the game against Championship leaders Newcastle as a benchmark to their progress.[LNB]The Reds go into the televised game at the City Ground on Saturday evening on a run of three successive victories that has propelled them up to 10th in the table and within a point of the play-off places.[LNB]Kelly, a former Newcastle striker, insists Forest are only concerned with maintaining their unbeaten run.[LNB]"They won't provide a benchmark. They are a team full of Premier League players, they have lost a few players, but the basis of the squad is still together.[LNB]"You gage yourself game by game. We have played some good football and got some good results recently. In fact the performances have been there for most of the season and we will just be looking to keep that going on Saturday."
