'Kebab' Comment Has Nothing To Do With Cabaye Wish To Leave!

According to the Mail today - Alan Pardew fears his top players will want to leave Newcastle after Joe Kinnear's radio rant.

"Sportsmail can reveal that France midfielder Yohan Cabaye, one of the club’s most influential players, is furious that Kinnear called him ‘Kebab’ in Monday’s interview on talkSPORT.

"Cabaye, 27, has been away with his national team in South America and learned of the director of football’s mispronunciation of his surname upon his return this week.

"Big-spending French clubs Paris Saint-Germain and newly-promoted Monaco are both willing to take advantage of the crisis and sign the former Lille midfielder."

But Cabaye (pictured right) wants OUT and his mind was made up BEFORE Kinnear’s disastrous interview.

Pardew does not want to let his best players leave the club, but he is aware of the friction caused by Kinnear’s erratic outing on the airwaves.

And Newcastle also face a battle to hold on to winger Hatem Ben Arfa after Kinnear called the Newcastle player ‘Ben Afra’ during the incredible broadcast.

Sammy Ameobi has also expressed consternation after Kinnear stumbled over his name.

He tweeted: ‘Wow at least get my name right’ after learning of Kinnear’s regrettable interview.
