Keane Is Back On The Toon Radar!

We hear that Tottenham's Robbie Keane would be interested in a move to St James's Park. Apparently he was close to signing for the Toon last January, and Chris Hughton tried to push through a deal last July. Keane is frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities at White Hart Lane, and is expected to leave the club in January. Some newspapers suggest he could possibly go out on loan, but I doubt if Spurs would lend him to a Premiership club. Alan Pardew: “If any player of that sort of quality becomes available, we’d be interested. “Whether it’s possible to bring them to the club, we’ll see. “The transfer window’s time consuming – there’s so much to get through. “The media’s quite ferocious about who’s coming, but it’s about keeping an even keel in the market. “I spoke to David Moyes, and he thinks there’ll be little movement, and I’d probably agree with him, but I’d like to strengthen offensively.”
