Jones calls on Bluebirds' fans

Cardiff boss Dave Jones is relishing the prospect of facing Newcastle and feels the Bluebird's new stadium will provide the perfect setting. City could go top of the Championship table with a win over the Magpies, who are currently leading the way. Jones told the South Wales Echo: "It's going to be electrifying," said manager Jones. "We are not only doing battle on the pitch - our fans can play their part by out-chanting the away supporters. "When Newcastle played at Crystal Palace, our reports back said away fans made so much noise it was like a home match. "They are a massive club. Everybody talks about Cardiff City becoming a big club, but Newcastle had 44,000 fans for a Championship match. That is unbelievable. "Newcastle have sold their allocation and we have sold ours. It's going to be electrifying. I can't wait for it - the stadium will light up."
