Kinnear has decided that he will not disciplining the pair after they traded blows when French midfielder N'Zogbia reacted angrily to a late challenge by Carroll during a practice session.[LNB]The pair had to be dragged apart by their colleagues and the training session was hastily abandoned but they are understood to have locked horns again in the dressing room.[LNB]Despite the Kinnear has attempted to play down the fracas which took place at Newcastle's Darsley Park practice ground.[LNB]"It was just handbags, and it's been blown out of all proportion," Kinnear said.[LNB]"I can't stop players being passionate, and wouldn't want to. I won't be taking any action.[LNB]"It was a very intense, excellent training session, as we always have at the club. It was a fiery session.[LNB]"There was a late challenge, and a reaction to it. The players were working to the max -" it was as simple as that." N'Zogbia and Carroll came to blows in front of shocked Carlisle players who were on Tyneside for a practice match on an adjacent pitch.[LNB]"It was a bit of a scrap," said a Carlisle source. "It didn't go on for too long - " they were split up after a bit. But we all saw it. It was just a training ground bust-up, the sort of thing that happens." [LNB]Another Carlisle source added: "While the Carlisle players were warming up it all exploded on the other pitch â " Carroll and N'Zogbia looked like they were going at it.[LNB]"It got broken up, but we heard afterwards that they went at it again in the dressing rooms. We know these things happen in football, but everybody was shocked." [LNB]A Newcastle spokesman added: "It was a bit of handbags and an incident that has probably happened at other training grounds up and down the country lots of times before." [LNB]The incident took place shortly after Kinnear and Hull counterpart Phil Brown were charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following their touchline bust-up during their clubs' FA Cup tie at St James' Park last week.[LNB]They have been given until February 4 to respond to the charge.
