"I will always fight my corner and stick up for what I think is right and there's no reason why I should change," Kinnear said on Thursday following his side's 1-0 FA Cup defeat by Hull the previous night.[LNB]The two managers went head-to-head after a lunging challenge by Newcastle's Fabricio Coloccini on Hull's Daniel Cousin.[LNB]"That's the way I am. I react to things. I'm very passionate and I'll always fight my cause and stand my ground and that will never change. I've done that all my life and I've been in front of the beaks four dozen times.[LNB]"It's part and parcel of how I feel. If you have something to say you have to say it. I didn't attack him in any way or anything else like that. We didn' t lock horns but we had plenty to say to each other.[LNB]"This was strictly between me and him. I don't know how the referee got involved. [LNB]"There must be some sort of rule that says you can't have a ruck with an opposing manager. That's all I saw it as – a ruck. I finished it but he instigated it." [LNB]Kinnear and Brown are unlikely to escape punishment, which could mean a lengthy touchline ban for the former Wimbledon manager because he is already facing two misconduct charges.[LNB]Kinnear is hoping to sign West Ham defender Lucas Neill on loan until the end of the season although his club are reluctant to release the Australian.[LNB]Newcastle have also lodged a £5 million bid for Rennes' Cameroon midfielder Stephane Mbia who Kinnear described as the "nearest thing I've seen to Patrick Vieira".[LNB]Former Newcastle player Tommy Casey died last Sunday at the age of 78.[LNB][LNB]
