It's Back To Normal For The Toon 'Rock'!

Steve Harper is back in the team and we have picked up six points in two games following a desperate period of one win in EIGHT fixtures. The Toon goalkeeper has thanked Newcastle United's medical staff for their help over the last four months. The 35-year-old was part of the team that thumped West Ham 5-0 last night, his first game at St James's Park since September's defeat to Blackpool. Steve Harper: "It's one of the oldest clichés in the game, but we do only look at the next game. "After the Tottenham game, all we looked at was Wigan. "It's paid off. "I have to pay credit to the medical staff, the surgeon Andrew Wallace, and the club doctor, and Derek (Wright), Hendo (Dave Henderson) and Michael (Harding) the phyios. "I'm not a good patient, and they've kept me going. "It's not nice at my age knowing you're going to be out three or four months, and I managed to get back in 11 weeks, and that's credit to the medical staff for keeping me going and keeping me motivated. "I just wanted to get back playing as quickly as possible, and I was happy to come back on a winning note."
