Gabriel Obertan was a flop at Old Trafford following his transfer from Bordeaux, so he doesn't believe - "it's all downhill after Old Trafford" - because things can only get better at Newcastle.

Gabriel Obertan: "I want to be playing more football this season than in the previous two campaigns with United.

"This is why I moved to Newcastle - when I saw the opportunity, I didn't hesitate.

"The coach trusts me, so I'm really happy at the moment.

"We really wanted to win the game against Blackburn - it's been a while since we played at home - and I think we produced good football.

"We were really happy to get the three points. Everybody produced. When we win like this, it's a great feeling.

"I'm really happy for Demba (Ba) because he works hard in training. He scored three goals, and he was present in each play.

"We've not lost a game this season. It's great for the confidence. We've got a good group, and it's great in the changing room.

"If we can keep playing like this, it will be great.

"Personally, I'm finding my fitness, and I was really happy to play 90 minutes. It was good to play in this team."
