The Football Association will appoint an Englishman as the next manager of the national team. With Alan Shearer the top attraction amongst the bookies, it could be good news for the former England skipper. FA's Club England managing director Adrian Bevington: "We enjoyed working with Sven-Goran Eriksson, and we have Fabio Capello in now. "I think the English team should be managed by an English manager [in the future]." "A lot of people have a very different view of Fabio Capello to the one they had before the World Cup. "Our job is to support him as best we can. Maybe we can help him, and maybe now is the time to improve communications between manager and players."
