Is Neville Blaming Newcastle Or Gosling?
Everton captain Phil Neville is not happy at the manner in which Dan Gosling left Goodison Park to join Newcastle United. But we cannot work out if he is blaming the club or the player? Can you? Phil Neville: “I was disappointed because Dan’s a great kid, a great guy. He came from Plymouth having not played many games for them and the gaffer gave him a platform to progress in football. “It was something I didn’t know about. The problem these days is that players’ heads get turned by other people. “Dan’s a great kid – I sat opposite him on the bus for two or three seasons and he’s loved by everyone here at Everton. It’s just disappointing that he cannot fulfil his potential here and has needed to go to Newcastle. “I’ll always like Dan but I don’t like the situation that occurred.”
