CHRIS HUGHTON has no intention of making a move for players who rise to prominence on the World Cup stage this summer, even though he is heading to South Africa on a scouting mission.[LNB] The Newcastle United manager is keen to ensure he makes the necessary adjustments to his squad as he attempts to keep the Magpies in the Premier League next season.[LNB] Hughton has his eye on a number of players at the finals, but claims he won't necessarily be impressed by new names emerging during the month-long showpiece.[LNB] The Newcastle boss has already drawn up a list of players to monitor and will have scouting representatives in South Africa.[LNB] Hughton, who has already been to Holland, France and Germany looking at potential signings, said: We're assessing our options with regards to the World Cup at the moment.[LNB] There's every chance we will be going over there and we will have a presence. I am looking into going over for a couple of games myself.[LNB] But it will be to look at a player we know already rather to look for potential players that we didn't know about.[LNB] We have done plenty of work already and we know the sort of players who will be there and available already.[LNB] Generally we would not be looking to buy a player just on the strength of a good World Cup.[LNB] You have to do your research on overseas players and that is not always the case with someone who comes to your attention solely on the basis of a good World Cup.[LNB] Winger Jonas Gutierrez was last night named in Argentian's final World Cup squad, but there was no place for defender Fabricio Colloccini.[LNB] One of Newcastle's rising talents has been impressing on the international scene already, after committing himself for the time being to Scotland rather than Australia.[LNB] Brad Inman, the forward who played a prominent role in helping the Newcastle Academy team to the semi-finals of the Youth Cup, was part of the Scotland Under- 19s side that beat Montenegro 4-0 in the European Championship Elite Round qualifiers.[LNB] Inman could still turn his back on Scotland, who he qualifies for thanks to Glaswegian mum Lorraine, with Australia interested in calling him up at some stage, while England are also an option because of his father, Dave.[LNB]
