The days of two wingers and a tall centre-forward were memories of the 1950s and 1960s - but it is back in fashion at St James' Park. The return of Jonas Gutiérrez was sure to add some spark to a team that had struggled in the last couple of games, but it was the guy on the other wing that sparked the Toon revival - Wayne Routledge. Chris Hughton: "What Wayne Routledge has got is old-fashioned wing play. "You look at him to provide crosses and deliveries into the box but it is also a real added bonus when he comes up with a goal, and it was an excellent one at that."
