Hughton: We must learn from defeat
Newcastle manager Chris Hughton held a lengthy dressing room inquest after the defeat at West Brom, but believes his players have the character to bounce back from their current woeful run.
The Magpies were sunk by two-goal Peter Odemwingie and outplayed for the majority of the 90 minutes in a 3-1 reversal.
It means they have collected only two points from the last five games, and Hughton kept his players behind closed doors for more than an hour after the Hawthorns setback.
He said: "We weren't good enough in enough departments and hence that is why we have been in there (the dressing room) so long.
"Some of it is about getting answers, some of it about venting your anger but these are the normal things that will go on after a game.
"I wasn't happy with the performance. On the back of a good result last week (versus Chelsea), I didn't think we started the game well enough. But we have also given away poor goals and you can't do that against anyone in this division."
