Hughton: I pick the team
Newcastle manager Chris Hughton has played down suggestions that certain players influence team selection, ahead of the trip to West Brom.
Hughton admitted that players hold meetings behind closed doors to thrash out problems - including club captain Kevin Nolan.
"I can tell you categorically 100% that there`s only one person who picks the team and that`s me," he said. "You sometimes confide in your assistants, but never with the players.
"If you go down that road, it becomes very dangerous."
