Hughton Hits Out At Beckford Tackle!
Tim Krul's substitute appearance as a replacement for the injured Steve Harper was his first in the Premier League, but Chris Hughton says the tackle that caused the damaged was out of order. The extent of Harper’s shoulder ligament damage is still being assessed, but manager Chris Hughton confirmed that Fraser Forster’s season-long loan to Celtic does not contain a recall clause. Harper picked up the injury when former Newcastle target Jermaine Beckford chased a lost cause and brought him down. Beckford was booked, and Hughton commented: “I thought it was a challenge that didn’t need to have been made.”
