The 31-year old wants a final big pay day and move on, but Hughton wants him to lead the line for Norwich this coming season.
Chris Hughton: "I have spoken to Grant but not met him yet.
"He is currently at his holiday home in Florida.
"But when I get back I will meet with him and make it clear that I want him to stay."
