Chris Hughton has confirmed he is enjoying his second spell as Newcastle United's caretaker manager more than when he was first thrown into the deep end last year.[LNB] The former Tottenham defender initially found himself at the helm of the St James' Park outfit last September following Kevin Keegan's sensational departure.[LNB]Hughton has been No.2 to manager Joe Kinnear, but his unexpected stint in hospital has meant the 50-year-old is now back in charge of first-team affairs along with Colin Calderwood.[LNB]The ex-Republic of Ireland international is enjoying filling in until Kinnear returns, but says that is purely down to Newcastle's improved results.[LNB]"I am enjoying it more because we have been able to pick up a couple of decent results," said Hughton. "They are the things that disappoint you more than anything.[LNB]Pleasing"The workings of the week are no different to before, my involvement is no different to before, but at the end of it, it is more pleasing when you are able to get some results."[LNB]Managing director Derek Llambias confirmed earlier this week Hughton and Calderwood would stay in their current roles until Kinnear returns.[LNB]Hughton is pleased to have been given the vote of confidence to help the Magpies stay in the top flight, although that is not affecting his desire to gain positive results.[LNB]"It is pleasing, but that's probably just a mark of where we are at the moment," he added on Llambias' announcement.[LNB]"The window has finished, we are on the back of a few decent results and what they have sensed is that things have settled down a little bit.[LNB]"Amongst all of that, they have felt there was no need to change things. But the important thing is that we have still got to pick up results, that's the most important thing."[LNB]
