Hughton hails composed Carroll

Caretaker Newcastle boss Chris Hughton saluted young striker Andy Carroll after seeing him finally kill off bottom-of-the-table Plymouth.[LNB]The 20-year-old frontman smashed home his second goal in four days to cement a hard-fought victory and enhance his blossoming reputation as the Magpies climbed back into second place in the Coca-Cola Championship with a 2-1 win.[LNB]Hughton said: "He has done ever so well, big Andy Carroll. He was out for a period of time and had only had two days' training with the team before the Blackpool game.[LNB]"He got stronger and better as the game went on and as well as scoring a goal, he could have perhaps added another one to it."
