Hughton Future Decided At Xmas!
We hear reports from inside St James' Park that Chris Hughton's future will be decided during the Christmas period. Rumours conclude - if we are in a relegation position - Mike Ashley swings the axe! With massive games against West Ham and the Mackems - and that Carling Cup tie against Arsenal on Wednesday - we have a week that can turn our season around. Win them and we are on the march. Lose them and Hughton's position will be like a ticking time bomb. But we believe Ashley won't make any move until the Christmas period, just before the transfer window opens. Chris Hughton: "They are testing times, the obvious and of course results and wanting to win football matches. "But these are periods you have to go through and certainly at this football club, we have been able to go through these periods and if anything, it has made us stronger as an outfit and stronger as a team. "I see no reason why we can't do that again."
