NEWCASTLE UNITED are weighing up making a renewed bid for Turkish striker Mevlut Erding after having an initial offer rejected.[LNB] Paris St Germain have rejected an offer of £4m for the 23-year-old who only moved to the French capital last summer from Sochaux.[LNB] PSG, who reportedly paid £7.5m for him a year ago, are looking for at least their money back on a forward who scored 15 goals in Ligue Un last season.[LNB] Erding has three years left on his contract and is regarded as one of his country's brightest prospects.[LNB] But with officials at Newcastle stating earlier this summer that Hughton had very little cash to invest in his squad ahead of a first season back in the Premier League, it is difficult to imagine PSG's demands being met.[LNB] Hughton is keen to strengthen his attack and has Andy Carroll, Peter Lovenkrands, Shola Ameobi and Leon Best at his disposal with Nile Ranger likely to go out on loan.[LNB] Chris Hughton is keen to push through a deal for Erding, and is also interested in Scottish striker Kris Boyd.[LNB]
