And for Kinnear to do that he will have to see them play.
So don't expect any transfers until the end of the transfer window, which is the last thing Alan Pardew wants ... or needs.
It could mean no transfers until we have started the campaign, and Pardew made it know he wanted new faces BEFORE the players returned to training on July 4th.
He said in May: "We will be looking to sign a central defender and striker before the players come back off holiday."
That ain't gonna happen.
