HATCHET MAN: It's difficult to work who will go down first: Newcastle United or cumbersome thug Tayl

Steven Taylor is supposed to have the sort of spirit and desire that  Newcastle need to get out of relegation trouble. It is just a shame the defender doesn't have the skill to go with it. Whenever Taylor is faced with trying to shackle a quick or skilful forward he seems to get desperate - and violent. After raising his arm to Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo at the beginning of the month, he looked to control Andrey Arshavin in similar fashion on Saturday night. The television pictures showed him look around at the Arsenal player a couple of times before using his arm to connect with Arshavin and send him sprawling. Malicious intent cannot be proved and Newcastle's defeat and relegation problems combined with the revival of Arsene Wenger's side meant the incident  was overtaken and that will be the end of it. If Newcastle go down, maybe the slow and cumbersome Taylor will suffer a similar fate.PS: Was Obafemi Martins' penalty against Arsenal the worst in the Premier   League this season? Substitute Michael Owen might have a view on that.
