Has Shearer Bottled It Again?
Having ruled himself out of every managerial post that has come up for grabs in the last year, Alan Shearer says he is not in contention to become the new Blackburn manager. What job is the former Toon striker waiting for? Does he really WANT to be a manager? He refuses to say, but his BBC fellow pundits seem baffled by his comments at the World Cup in South Africa when he said "I'm ready for the challenge of management" ... but done nothing about it. When asked what chance there was of him taking the reins at Rovers, Shearer replied: "Save your money." He was then asked if he was ruling himself out, replying: "I am."
