Gutierrez Not Happy To Miss International Call Cup!

Newcastle's Argentinian duo Fabricio Coloccini and Jonas Gutierrez have not been called up for international duty this week. Coloccini wouldn't have made it anyway, but it would have been nice to have been asked. Coloccini has suffered an injury and some suggest Sol Campbell could take his place in the team for the visit of Wigan ... regardless of whether he recovers or not. Gutierrez believes he needs international football, because he feels his involvement in the summer’s World Cup finals helped improve his performances as a player. Jonas Gutierrez: “I think when you are playing with the national team or at a big level it helps you. “The Championship is a little bit different – not easier, just different. “It’s a different type of game, so to play for the national team was very important for me. I was a little bit disappointed with the World Cup because we wanted to achieve more. But that’s football, that’s the World Cup, it’s very difficult.”
