JONAS GUTIERREZ makes his Newcastle return ahead of this afternoon's game at Southampton.
The Argentine winger was taken off in the defeat against West Ham United a fortnight ago with a leg injury, but has been passed fit for today's trip to St Mary's.
Papiss Cisse, who limped off against Maritimo on Thursday night, starts alongside Demba Ba, while Shane Ferguson replaces Sylvain Marveaux on the left flank. Cheik Tiote will partner Vurnon Anita while Mike Williamson comes back into defence for the suspended Fabricio Coloccini.
Nigel Adkins' Southampton are unchanged from the team that beat Queen's Park Rangers eight days ago.
